Employees of the State Fire and Rescue Service arrived in large numbers in Dārziņi, Daugavmalas Street, to be ready both for rescuing people in the water and for fuel leakage from the car.
However, it was only necessary to pull the vehicle ashore with a winch.
“I saw that at 8 in the morning the car was running, but there was no one there. The car was already in the water,” said a local resident.
The state police is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
