The purpose of the competition is to financially support the implementation of projects of importance to the Riga municipality organized by merchants, associations or foundations in visual art, music, theater art, dance, bookselling, as well as non-commercial audiovisual works and interdisciplinary projects.
The following priorities have been determined in the competition this year:
support for artistically high-value, innovative and socially significant events in the culture and art sector;
support for events that promote the development of a united and civically active society, as well as reflect and include the Ukrainian theme in cultural events important to Latvia and Riga;
support for the cultural and art projects implemented in the Year of the Libyan Heritage in Riga;
support for events that contribute to the development of the urban environment and cultural infrastructure in Riga, as well as the accessibility of events to its residents;
support for events for children and young people.
