New apparel depicts voice acting legend, Dragon Ball‘s Goku, when she was younger.
Masako Nozawa (Dragon Ball‘s Goku) revealed a new line of apparel for her 90th birthday on Saturday. The new line of apparel will be released by Japanese voice acting merchandise and apparel brand FAVOLC. The first wave of the Nozawa collection includes shirts, sweatshirts, pouches, a tote bag, shorts, and a baseball hat depicting the voice acting icon from her youth and her later years.

The first wave of the Nozawa collection is available through the FAVOLC website and the Animate online store. Prices range between 3,080 yen and 8,800 yen (about US$19.38 and US$55.37). Customers who purchase through the FAVOLC website will also receive an original “Nozawa Masako 90th Anniversary” pin with every item. The pins come in black, purple, and yellow.

Nozawa is best known as the voice of Son Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise. Nozawa first appeared in the oiriginal 1963 Astro Boy anime series. She then voiced the character Kitarō in the 1968 Gegege no Kitarō anime, and in the 1971 sequel. She returned in the franchise to voice the character of Medama Oyaji in the 2018 Gegege no Kitarō remake, and in the 2023 GeGeGe no Kitarō ~Kappa no Terraforming anime film. Since then, Nozawa has played several lead character roles in different anime series, including Tetsyurō Hashino in the Galaxy Express 999 franchise, Doctor Kureha in One Piece, and T0-B1 in Star Wars: Visions.
Nozawa also holds the Guinness World Record for “voice actor who voiced the same character in a video game for the longest period” and “longest video game voice acting career,” for her work as Dragon Ball‘s Son Goku. She won one of the 71st Kan Kikuchi Prizes “as a traiblazing representative of Japanese voice actors” in 2023. In her acceptance speech, she confidently stated she will continue voice acting until she is 182 years old. The Japanese government honored her as a Person of Cultural Merit in 2025.
