Believe

Believe has welcomed now-former Warner Music Brazil GM Marcela Moreira as country director in Brazil.

TuneCore

Additionally, Believe’s TuneCore has officially promoted five-year team member Andi Arya Dwi Putra, who’s leading the company’s operations in Indonesia.

Play MPE

HipHopDX founder Sharath Cherian has signed on as CEO of both Play MPE and its Destiny Media Technologies parent.

DIMA

The Digital Media Association has added Alyssa Slaimen, most recently Senator Peter Welch’s senior counsel, as VP of government and external affairs.

Alta Music Group

Alta has launched a publishing division, “supported and administered through Sony Music Publishing,” with former Electric Feel exec Zeb Berg at the helm.

UTA

After 11 years with United Talent Agency, James Wright has been elevated to co-head of the agency’s music group in the UK.

Warner Chappell Music (WCM)

WCM has boosted David Goldsen, part of the publisher’s team since 2009, to A&R EVP.

House of Lords

Ivors Academy CEO and UK Music director Roberto Neri has been appointed to the House of Lords as a life peer.

Damai International

A week and change after debuting a global label, Alibaba’s Damai International has announced Mark Meyerson as its first head of North American ticketing.

In the role, the former AEG Presents and Ticketmaster higher-up will “launch and scale the company’s ticketing operations across North America and integrate them with MAISEAT, Damai Entertainment’s international ticketing platform.”

AEG Presents

AEG Presents’ venue development team has promoted three: 10-year company vet Cameron Marcotte to VP; operations VP Jake Hiersteiner to senior director; and Mike Ryan, who came aboard in 2022, to project director.

On the hires side, the same team has formally confirmed Alyssa Sarilarp as senior design and construction specialist; Will Evans as senior project manager; and Marysol Flores as administrative assistant.

Merlin

Former Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) CEO Dan Nevin is now Merlin’s VP of industry relations.

NIVA

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has announced three newly-elected members to its Board of Directors:

David Weingarden, Vice President, Concerts + Events at Z2 Entertainment, LLC;

Cassie Dickson, Director of HR and Project Manager for Audiotree, Lincoln Hall, and Schubas Tavern; and

Shayna Melgaard, Director of Programming and Talent Buyer, Hennepin Arts.
