Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean are being sued over the unpaid rent of their recently closed restaurant alongside their co-owner, MLB alum Adam LaRoche.

Country stars Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean are being sued by GBT Realty Corporation as the owners of E3 Chophouse Nashville, alongside restaurant co-owner and MLB alum Adam LaRoche. The realty company is seeking over $1.4 million in damages from the owners of the restaurant, which closed in February, stemming from unpaid rent.

Filed on June 12, the complaint alleges that the restaurant’s owners and celebrity investors failed to pay rent for January or February and “abruptly closed the restaurant and ceased operations,” in violation of their lease. GBT is seeking damages that include both past-due rent with interest and rent due through the end of the lease, which is reportedly up in August 2029.

Meanwhile, a previous court ruling determined that the owners of E3 Chophouse Nashville owe over $1.4 million in damages, but the restaurant’s legal team has since appealed the decision. According to Backstage Country, a spokesperson for E3 Chophouse’s owners said that none of them had any prior knowledge of the complaint, but a resolution is currently underway.

In February, E3 Chophouse Nashville announced its closure, with a banner across its website and a post on its social media accounts stating that the restaurant was “hitting pause.”

“Our team is assessing market opportunities and exploring potential rebrand and re-concept strategies for the future of this location,” the announcement reads. “Stay tuned—more updates coming soon.”

Backstage Country notes that the keys to the property have since been returned, indicating that the closure may be more than temporary.

The E3 Chophouse brand still has a location in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, which opened in 2013 and remains operational. That establishment is owned by former baseball star LaRoche, 46, and his brothers. LaRoche opened the Nashville location in 2019 alongside Bryan and Aldean, who are both 49.
