Tips for Getting the Best Vocal Sample
Clean Audio Is Essential — Background noise, music, or interruptions will degrade the quality of the produced vocal clone. LALAL.AI has a voice cleaner and echo & reverb remover tool—but editing the vocal fine in a digital audio workstation (DAW) like Audacity or Reaper can achieve the best results.
Speak Naturally — Record your voice as your normally speak, without a forced accent or intonation unless you want the voice clone to have that intonation.
Variety — Include different speech patterns and content types to help the AI capture the full range of your vocal characteristics. Have some voice lines that are spoken naturally, some with an excited tone, some with a sad or somber tone—think about the emotions you want to convey and provide those.

Once you have your clean audio voice sample, you’re ready to start using the LALAL.AI interface. Head to the Voice Cloner page on the LALAL.AI website to get started. Sign in, then click ‘Select Files’ to locate the audio files on your laptop or smartphone. You can upload multiple files as long as the total duration falls within the recommended range (10 mins to 50 mins). Ensure all uploaded files are clear and free from background noise, music, or interruptions.
After uploading your files, the website will prompt you to name your voice clone for easy identification. You can also choose an avatar to make visual differentiating your voice from others easier, should you use the service to create multiple voices. Now that the files are uploaded and named, you’re ready to start the training process.
LALAL.AI’s algorithm will begin analyzing and processing your voice samples after you hit continue. This typically takes a few minutes and you can leave the page while it runs in the background. Once training is finished, the website will provide you with a sample so you can see how the vocal clone turned out. Click the ‘Check It Out’ button to access the preview page and listen to the short audio sample generated by the new voice clone.
If you’re satisfied with the preview, you can click the ‘Buy’ button to gain full, permanent access to your digital voice clone. After the clone is purchased, you can then use the Voice Changer button to apply the new voice to various audio projects within the LALAL.AI Voice Changer tool.
